Caroma has always forged ahead with new technologies since the company first began in 1941. In 1945 Caroma created the world's first transfer injection moulder, with which they produced produced the first plastic hypodermic syringe. In 1956 they were the first company to produce an all plastic cistern. In the late 1970's and early 1980's they began to realise the need for water convservation and in 1984 they produced the worlds first two button dual flush toilet, now a standard in every home.
