Prior to starting an installation the floor level is checked and the lowest point is located, then a level line at the correct height (865mm) is marked around the walls where the new cabinets are to be installed. Any large variations in height can be compensated by the adjustable legs under the cupboard carcases to achieve the necessary height and level. Installation generally begins by positioning and levelling the corner cabinets and working away from them. |

Levelling all carcases via adjustable legs. (We use adjustable legs for simplicity of leveling cabinets.) Here we make sure all cabinet carcases are completely level and the correct height. Once levelled the cabinets are secured to each other by screws so the whole thing becomes one unit. |

Installation of the slide out benchtop.
A feature in this kitchen design is a slide out counter top under the main counter top. This kitchen aid gives additional counter top area when required.
This slide out top is of the same solid surface material as the main counter top which is STARON Sanded Cream color. |

Installation of wall cupboards and retractable range hood.
The overhead wall cabinets are installed starting at an end panel to set the correct height. The cabinets are set on jacks that rest on the counter top and levelled at the correct height (461mm) above the counter top. The first cabinet is attached to the end panel and the rest are positioned and attached progressivlely.The cabinet that contains the retractable range hood is put in position on the wall then the range hood is fitted to the under side and flu holes are cut. |

Delivery of Solid Surface benchtop in Sanded Cream colour.
All STARON Solid surface counter tops are fabricated at our factory, Unit 11/57B Saints Rd, Salisbury Plains, S. Aust. 5109. They are finished to a standard that all that is required on site is the final joining of the tops. Because of the size and shape of some kitchen counter tops, final assembly must be done on site.One of the characteristics of STARON is that when it is joined, glued together,and polished the joint itself is almost impossible to pick and will stand very close scrutiny.Final polishing to the finish that the customer wants is also done on site. |

Where the joining of a benchtop / counter top is required on site, it is necessary to remove any excess glue on the top face prior to polishing the benchtop and re-machine the front edge and top and bottom radii of the edges to achieve continuity of the edge and radii, thus making the join almost impossible to locate. |

This picture demonstrates the final polishing of the tops and edges of the new STARON bench top, as was previously described under picture 07. When the final finish is achieved, the top is thoroughly cleaned and wiped with Methylated Spirit for final inspection by the customer. |
